When we met Rami Kozman and Kelly Peters over the summer, they both had a casual, student style. With job interviews on the horizon, these law students were both ready to update their look.
Rami, now a second-year student at Dalhousie University, spent his summer at home in Toronto. While in the city, he worked with friends to establish the Canadian Hero Fund, a foundation to provide post-secondary scholarships to children of fallen Canadian soldiers.
Kelly spent her summer working as a “matchmaker” for Pro Bono Students Canada — matching law student volunteers with public interest organizations across Toronto. Kelly is now in second year at U of T.
Rami: “I usually prefer black suits but I think the blue looks sharp and would make me stand out a little more on the job hunt. And the yellow tie adds some flair without being too flashy.”
Rami wears a navy blue pinstripe modern fit trouser ($185) and matching three-button blazer ($410) by Banana Republic. White dress shirt by Arrow at The Bay, $65. Belt by Gap, $29.50. Tie by Tommy Hilfiger at The Bay, $65. Shoes by Philip Sparks at Town Shoes, $145.
Kelly: “I was nervous about getting a ‘business’ makeover, but now that it’s complete I absolutely love it! The hair is easy to maintain and versatile, which is great for the hectic lifestyle of a law student, and the outfit is fun, but still professional.”
Kelly wears a skirt and blazer by Anne Klein at The Bay, $350. Blouse by I.N.C International Concepts at The Bay, $79. Pumps by BCBG at Town Shoes, $125. Hosiery by Silks Sheer.
